Fourth Degree Stories to Write Up

  2006

•  August 28, 2006: See "first degree" for the first part of this fascinating story. So Jennifer B. tells Theresa that she met someone in Kansas that knows TLO but she (Jennifer) can't remember who it is. That night, Theresa looks through her address book and sends Jennifer a list of people that she knows in Kansas. Her guess was that it would be Mr. L., former choir director at Hollins who is now retired in Kansas. They would have that music connection. But it turns out it's Janet and Dan Y. and their son. Janet is Elaine S.'s big sister--Elaine and I were best friends in high school. The part of the story I still don't know is a) How did Janet and Jennifer meet and b) my favorite question: how did my name come up in conversation?

•  July 18, 2006: Theresa receives a very interesting email. D See 2006 July 18: A Ball of Yarn

•  Susan, Janet Gelphman's sister, meets "Pepper" at her Pilates class. They figure out that they both know me. Pepper is Pepper Aranoff (Susan didn't know her last name but together we were able to piece it together), mother of Stewart Weis and Barney Aranoff. (Theresa taught Stewart and babysat for both Stewart and Barney. When Stewart had his Bar Mitzvah, Theresa was Barney's escort and in charge of taking him home whenever he needed to go so that Stewart and his parents could fully participate in the events.)

•  Susan Bourgeois Rohde and LL family (Marilee Garr is mom) rafting in Colorado
•  Bartlett sisters and Catherine Parker @ Tierra del Fuego
•  Cassie Nutter (UNT master's student friend) talks to restaurant owner at nice place outside movie theatre at Mockingbird Station. Restaurant owner is a Lamplighter mom and her child was a student of TLO a long time ago. How did they figure that out?
