2010, July 22: Once You Know Marcus, Your World Will Get Smaller, Too

From a FB Message I sent to Marcus: So I'm teaching a graduate course this summer on "Information Tools in Teaching and Learning." (Bet you're wondering where this is going.) We get to the part where we're learning Geographic Information Tools (GPS, GIS, etc.). We're outside learning how to use GPS devices and I mention that you can use it like a compass to tell which direction you're going and we start talking about orienteering. One of my students says, "My brother teaches orienteering at a camp called Moose River Outpost." You could've wiped me up off the street with a paper towel. I couldn't believe it. Yes, Samantha, Nate's sister, is in my class.
